Come to Ladue High School's Comic Book Club! Meeting after school on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, this club has a welcoming atmosphere where students can share their favorite comic book characters and stories with each other.
This project was particularly enjoyable for me because I'm actually a co-president of Ladue's comic book club. Getting to share my love of comic books with others is just plain cool. The opportunity to expand the club's membership through this ad is also really cool, as this is the first ad project I've done.
However, I faced many technical difficulties throughout the production of the ad (pretty much all of them being my fault). It wasn't until after I filmed all my footage, had begun to edit, and asked Mr. Goble to check my audio, that I realized I had not plugged the microphone in. With only one day left till the due date, I called up everyone who had helped me the first time and organized a reshoot for the next afternoon. After the reshoot, I rushed back to editing and was amazingly able to finish the video in two afternoons! It was a tiring process but through it I learned two very valuable lessons: 1. I can finish video projects quickly when pressed for time 2. Always make sure that the mic is plugged in.
Huge thanks to my friends David, James, Vicky, Simon, Joseph, Logan, Albert, Patrick, and Xayvion for helping me out!
