After more than two months of work, I've finally finished my short film: Journey Into Dusk.
A ton of credit goes to my friends, Joe Deboer, David Sissac, Simon Nguyen, Vicki Chen, and Patrick Huang who took time out of their already busy high school schedules to act in the film and help with filming. Their effort and commitment to their roles was amazing and made filming an easy and fun time. Additional thanks go to my Broadcast Technology teacher, Mrs. Davidson, who stayed late after school on two occasions to give us time to finish filming.
As much fun as I had filming, it was occasionally a stressful experience. Our access to "Jack Worthy's filming studio" was restricted to about an hour after school. Although that may sound like more than enough time to film a few scenes, filming actually took a lot of time with the repositioning of the camera for each shot.
Editing was a lengthy but enjoyable experience as I figured out how to best compile each string of shots together. It took a good deal of time, but I had a great time with this project and enjoyed working with all my friends.
